Chuck versus The Santa Suit- "Never underestimate the power of the nerd herd"

"Never underestimate the power of the Nerd Herd..."

I find that quote quite remarkable... After all I feel he wasn't just saying the quote to himself, but that was like a message to all the nerds around the world: never underestimate the nerd! And yes, for those who haven't been watching #Chuck for sometimes because of whatever reasons... grab your faith, cheeseballs & immerse with the episode! Because I'm proudly to say, "Justice has been done"! After episodes and episodes... I just got this feeling that the best is yet to come & episodes after the episodes did they reveal more about piece of the pasts, present & future... I find this episode, quite possible the finest hours of those! Not because the guest stars, the casts, the plot, or the story! It was everything... like the final piece of puzzles finally reveal! So congratulations to everyone, Chuck is officially back! Forget the old times... and prepare to immerse yourself with the new era!

First of all, I love how the producers uses the advantage of Christmas as an excellent plot device! Christmas helps drive, explains, and gives the aspects of what a holiday episodes that it should be! And  I love how they were focusing on every aspects of Christmas- even though the producers wanted to go with Dickens-Christmas, but just when things were about to get too much personal, dark & gritty- the producers chose to use the advantage of all the funs of Christmas festivities has to offered, and pull the episode back to where it was! So that was quite a brilliant advantage you have discovered, Schwedak!

And second thing I wish to point out, I love the episode were all personal... it wasn't just for national security, or the world... it was all about the broken villain, and the nerd... At first, the producers makes us think it's all personal between Chuck & Daniel Shaw, but as we delves more into the episode-  we realize it's all getting personal! Each side has a motivation to bring down each other, and by this case Shaw wishes to use the guns instead... And Chuck determines to put his back to where to where Shaw was suppose to be! You could say this is the final payback, of what was left after season three! I do appreciate that the producers makes the episode all about avenging their justice, because to be honest- after the demise Papa Bartowski...  in many episodes he was only remembered, and that's all it's been discuss! But not this time, it was the same as Chuck versus The Push Mix when Chuck uses Volkoff's affection for his mom & determination to destroy his father helps him locating Volkoff. But I do love this episode because of the fact... it wasn't just only plot device or just a talk to remembered! It was both of them... it's about Chuck avenging for his father, it's about one final showdown to settle everything!

We just love seeing you in a beaten up form!

Another point was really all about how personal it is... how amazing they put everything up! How they mixes each elements... from roaming panic of viruses, Sarah kidnapped, Ellie & Awesome plans for Christmas & the unexpected (and quite very much, unwelcome) presence of Daniel Shaw! This will be what I will be discussing in this week's review!

After all, it is only appropriate to starts with Chuck & Sarah first! For the episode was really about them, about dealing with their past, about settle one last business... and of course, to avenge & take care their love & lost one. As Shaw appears from nowhere, it was pretty much like a test for both of them. How would they react in such a situation when they are separate, and one of them are tempted their own nemesis! And also Chuck's determination to save Sarah and avenge his father's death- he goes out to break into the CIA, kisses with Beckman (*ahem*), and risk himself just to save his wife in the final showdown! You could say there are so much things happening, but what matters in that episode kicks off with questions like: are they still loyal to each other, what's in mind of Chuck? As Shaw begins his plans step by step, and Chuck race against time to save Sarah- you still know the love is still there! I also enjoy Zachary performance this week, in terms of how he express the emotion of fear, love & of course, courage to defeat Shaw in this week episode, and also how Yvonne's performance is so good, I don't know whether they are making Castle freezing or not, and if not- then she really fools our eye! The producer did show other aspect of Charah's romance- by giving an episode where there are a real constant fear, and threat! As the episode goes by, you feel the episode was answering the necessary questions- how they are doing with Shaw in their life again, how will Chuck save his girl, and finally, how to outsmart Shaw! Their love is still there, and that's real solid proof! They are tempted by such a Christmas grinch, and not only do they survive... they manage to give kick his ass quite hard!

"We will never talk about this again..."

What I also love was how they tied all the stories from all other episodes so far in the series into a single plot device, like every decisions, plans & attempts does have an impact in all other episodes! From their first attempt on sending a corrupt Intersect to hiring killers, trying to steal a super-catastrophic-virus, sending more killers... and finally, sending the real player on the field! Everything are all tied, even though at first- "what the heck are they doing now?".... eventually all the stories are instantly piece up! And just then, you just figure why all the decisions all matters! At first, we have no idea what the Omen virus is for... and as the episode progress by (courtesy of those nice Jeffsters), the episode makes a twist by saying the Omen Virus wasn't really for wiping out every database... and combine with what you already saw in the episode- it was clear with what conspiracy should be! And it wansn't just the Omen thing that does tied up the story, it eventually had such an impact in setting up roughly what would be of the episode! With Omen Virus unleashed, it had turn Buy More into a warzones, it also gives the opportunity for the producers to really give all the characters a part of the episode, not just a separate subplot, but to included all the plots together! With Jeffster trying to save the world with a footlong sandwich, Sarah being kidnapped by Shaw, Casey being shot and Chuck & Beckman races to save the day! Yup... It was a priceless moment to see every characters working together (whether they know it or not), and saving the world (and the Christmas) together!

Ever heard how two peoples save the world with footlong?

My final points are on Daniel Shaw performance, he has been quite one of the most unwelcome characters in Chuck so far... And yeah, after what many had considered as a mess after season three... even though how much (I) and we hates him- I still sympathized the producers for selecting Shaw back... to complete & gives the story for Chuck to finally avenge the man who murdered Papa Bartowski, and yes- there is just to no scary creature who steals a Christmas by turning the festivities into a Buy Morian warzones! And of course, Stan Lee's performance as he guest star this season- even though his line was short... but as you know we nerd does LOVES him a lot! His comic are now being recognized worldwide as a gospel to many modern comics these days! And even though I don't know how the producers manage snatch him to set, he was quite awesome not just for him... but for us too, to know that he even has a past with Beckman! Which leads me to conclude this review with just one final phrase that explains why the episode is a triumph for the producers, the cast, we audience, and the whole storyline:

"Never underestimate the power of the nerd herd"
